Kayona plans more for digital version of book

Author Kayona Ebony Brown has heard her fair share of responses to the question, “Are women the new men?” Now, her debut novel, Tenth Letter, which evokes that and other psychosocial, gender and relationship questions, hit electronic bookstores with a unique special edition Tuesday, November 1, 2011.

Anecdotes about the proverbial meeting of Mars and Venus’ natives come a dime a dozen in the book world (and literally with electronic books), but as a story, Tenth Letter offers a bit more, tackling provocative conflicts that make it just as thought provoking a read as it is entertaining. “The complexity of this love story is a step above others,” said literary reviewer, Real Page Turners.

And as a digital product, Tenth Letter offers a bit more there too. To take it another step above others, the Special Edition Writer’s Cut will bring a unique tactic to the literary world by offering special features like never-read-before scenes, author commentary, along with visual and audio elements.

“The story and the character make such a personal connection with readers, I figured it would be a great idea to give them a little more just to wet the palette in preparation for the sequel novel, One Word, which will drop in 2012.”

Kayona Ebony Brown is a writer, filmmaker and entrepreneur from Washington, DC, owner of Brown’stone LC, which publishes her books and is the parent company to The Brown’stone Recording Company, a record label.
